The new issue of the journal “Studies on Azerbaijani oral folk literature” has been published

The 1st (63rd) issue of the scientific and literary collection “Studies on Azerbaijani oral folk literature”, published by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, has been published. This issue of the journal, which is published twice a year under the editorship of Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy, presents current scientific research covering various aspects of folklore studies.

The articles such as “Is Dede Korkut's new collage-style manuscription Hocali Molla's?” by Dursun YILDIRIM,  “Koroglu's “delileri” (heroes): generalized signs of the image” by Yegana ISMAYILOVA, “Layla and Majnun” is a tragedy of sacred love” by Shakir ALBALIYEV, “Azerbaijani ashig art as a national value” by Elchin GALIBOGHLU, “Two new models of Azerbaijani proverbs and their main features” by Khankishi MEMMEDOV, “The archaic distributivity of spatial measurement in Turkic epos” by Gunel JANNATOVA, “The Chershenbes and Novruz in the national-spiritual value system of the Azerbaijani people” by Aydin MUSTAFAYEV,  “Novruz ceremonies as the main factor of national-cultural values in Shusha folklore” by Matanat KHALILOVA,  “Folk traditions related to the cocoon worm: in agricultural and folklore” by Mehseti SULEYMANOVA, “A new phase in the study of the folklore of minority peoples” by Jamila NOVRUZOVA, “Methods of presentation and expression of national identity in the poetry of Huseyn Arif” by Rafael ALIYEV, “Between historical Oguznames and Turkish epics proximity of subject and motif” by Baba ALIBABAOGHLU, “Published branches of the “Koroglu” epic” by Konul AMRAHOVA, “Azerbaijani epic folklore and trickster characters” by Maya ABDULLAYEVA, “Historical and mythology in “Khavarnamei-turki” by Zhala RUSTAMOVA, “The embodiment of cosmogonic myths in our folklore and the motifs of “Oguzname” by Fatima BAGHIROVA and others have been published in this issue.  

The editor-in-chief of the publication is Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Professor Seyfaddin Rzasoy, the deputy editor-in-chief is Associate Professor Nail Gurbanov and the executive secretary is Associate Professor Elchin Galiboglu. The editorial board of the collection includes well-known scientists from different countries, which increases the importance of the publication as a platform for international scientific cooperation.

It should be noted that the journal “Studies on Azerbaijani Oral Folk Literature” has been published with the DOI (Digital Object Identifier) identifier since 2023. The presented number includes 17 articles and each article is provided with a DOI identifier.
