The 89th issue of the journal “Dede Gorgud” investigates the modern scientific problems of folklore studies

The 89th issue of the scientific and literary collection “Dede Gorgud”, published by the decision of the Scientific Council of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, has been published. The journal, which is published four times a year under the editorship of Prof. Ramazan Gafarli, features interesting scientific articles, new examples of Azerbaijani folklore, examples of Turkic peoples’ folklore and other articles in five columns.

In the “Gorgud Studies: Searches, Discoveries” section of the collection, readers can find articles such as “Semiotic Synergetics in the “Bamsi Beyrak” poem: Comparison of Eco and Dundes’ Structural Dialectics and Application to the “Dede Gorgud” epic by Professor Ramazan Gafarli and “Family types described in the epic “The Book of Dede Gorgud” (ethnographic research)” by PhD Aytakin Gahramanova.

Some folklore samples such as “The Turkmen Version of “Koroglu” by Professor Almaz Hasangizi, “Examples from Neftchala folklore” by PhD, associate professor Aynura Safarova were translated and published, in the section “Examples from Southern Azerbaijan Folklore” folklore samples collected and recorded by PhD Guljan Gulmez and PhD Jihangir Karini.

It should be noted that articles published in the scientific and literary collection “Dede Gorgud”, which is included in the “Index Copernicus” system, will also be published with a DOI index starting in 2023.
