The final panel sessions of the XIV International Symposium on Altaic Communities have been held

On the 12th of September the final scientific panels of the XIV International Symposium on Altaic Communities dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress and organized by the Institute of Folklore of ANAS were held at the main building of ANAS.

The scientific program for the final day of the symposium dedicated to “The Past, Present and Future of Altaic Studies” featured panels addressing the past, present and future of nomadic studies, as well as the oral history method and research within Altaic communities.

Presentations were delivered at the panels regarding new approaches and current research directions in nomadic studies, the stages of development of nomadic studies in Turkey, the scientific perspectives emerging in this field and future development opportunities.

Thus, the scientific program of the XIV International Symposium on Altaic Communities concluded with presentations and discussions covering a wide range of topics. Within the framework of the symposium, extensive scholarly exchanges took place regarding current issues in Altaic studies and Turkology, as well as the history, language, literature, folklore and cultural heritage of Turkic peoples.
