The event named “National Press – The Guardian of Statehood and National Values" was held at the Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) to mark 22 July – National Press Day.

The event featured speeches highlighting the development of the Azerbaijani national press, its role in strengthening the traditions of statehood, preserving national-moral values and providing society with objective information. It was mentioned that the national press occupied an important place in the socio-political, scientific and cultural life of the country and continued to make significant contributions to the development of society.

As part of the event, a group of individuals distinguished by their effective work in the fields of media and public relations were honored by the Yasamal District Organization of the New Azerbaijan Party.

Among the award recipients was Jamila Novruzova, the officer responsible for public relations at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS and Chair of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists. She was presented with the Certificate of Appreciation in recognition of her productive activities in the field of public relations on the occasion of 22 July – National Press Day, held within the framework of the “Year of Urban Planning and Architecture”.

At the conclusion of the event, the significance of National Press Day it was noted that efforts aimed at promoting the development of the media sector and the dissemination of national values in Azerbaijan should be continued.
