Preserving the shared cultural heritage of the Turkic world and strengthening scientific cooperation remain matters of great importance. The events organized to mark the 100^th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress contribute to reinforcing the scientific and cultural unity of the Turkic world.

According to AZERTAC, this was mentioned by Mustafa Shabanov, First Secretary of the Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO, during the VIII International Scientific Symposium “From the Common Turkic Past to the Common Turkic Future”.

It was noted that the international recognition of shared cultural heritage elements within the framework of UNESCO, including Novruz, the Book of Dede Gorgud, lavash, tea culture, Molla Nasreddin anecdotes and other common heritage traditions, stands as a successful outcome of cooperation among the Turkic states.

One of the most significant highlights of the speech was the announcement of the discovery of a new manuscript related to the literary legacy of Muhammad Fuzuli. Mustafa Shabanov noted that the ancient manuscript contains more than 300 ghazal, gasida, rubaiyat and other poems written by Fuzuli in Azerbaijani Turkic. According to him, the manuscript is currently being studied with the participation of researchers from the Institute of Linguistics named after Nasimi of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

The First Secretary of the Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO mentioned that the symposium would serve as an important platform for launching new joint scientific projects and initiatives, while making a significant contribution to preserving and passing on the rich cultural heritage of the Turkic world to future generations.
