International Scientific Symposium on the theme Turkological Folklore Studies has begun
Today the International Scientific Symposium titled “Turkological Folklore Studies: Theoretical Context, Practical Aspects and Analytical Perspectives” dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress, commenced at the Shusha Hall of the Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).
The symposium is organized by the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences and the Institute of Folklore ANAS, in partnership with the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, the Azerbaijan National Commission for UNESCO, the Turkish National Commission for UNESCO and Hajettepe University.
The event has brought together distinguished scholars, folklorists, Turkologists, members of parliament and heads of higher education institutions from Azerbaijan, as well as from Türkiye, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan and other countries.
As part of the program, participants first visited an exhibition organized within the framework of the symposium. The event then officially opened with the performance of the National Anthem of the Republic of Azerbaijan, followed by opening remarks and the commencement of the plenary session.
