A special panel will be held within the framework of the VIII International Scientific Symposium “From the Common Turkic Past to the Common Turkic Future” entitled “Turkic Folklore Studies: Theoretical Contexts, Practical Dimensions and Analytical Perspectives” dedicated to the 100^th anniversary of the First Turkological Congress.

The panel will feature the participation of Professor Ojal Oghuz, Chair of the Executive Board of the Turkic National Commission for UNESCO and a distinguished scholar of folklore. It will take place on 3 July 2026 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Central Scientific Library of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS).

The discussion will focus on current trends in folklore studies, the shared cultural values of the Turkic world and future opportunities for scholarly and cultural cooperation.
