Within the framework of the International Congress entitled “The First Turkological Congress: A Century of Scientific and Cultural Heritage” held in Baku, a group of folklore scholars were awarded the “The 100^th Anniversary of the First Turkological Congress (1926–2026)” commemorative badge in recognition of their contributions to the development of Turkology and folklore studies.

Among the recipients were Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Head of the Department of Science and Education of the Presidium Administration of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS) Sarkhan Khaveri and Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Scientific Secretary of the Presidium of ANAS Safa Garayev and Head of the Department of Turkic Peoples Folklore at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Afzaladdin Asgar.

The commemorative medals “The 100^th Anniversary of the First Turkological Congress (1926–2026)” were formally presented to the award recipients.

It should be noted that the commemorative medal was established to preserve the rich scholarly legacy of the First Turkological Congress, recognize the contributions of scholars advancing the field of Turkology and promote scientific-cultural cooperation across the Turkic world.
