A New Approach to Analyzing Folklore Resources for Cybersecurity Purposes was presented
Director of the ANAS Institute of Folklore Hikmat Guliyev made a presentation at the Republican Scientific and Practical Conference on the theme “Current Issues in Cybersecurity and Digital Forensics”. The conference was jointly organized by the Institute of Information Technology of the Ministry of Science and Education, the Heydar Aliyev Academy of the State Security Service, Azerbaijan Technical University and the Azerbaijan Cybersecurity Organizations Association.
Hikmat Guliyev’s presentation, entitled “Exploring the Possibilities of Identifying Individuals through Folklore Resources in the Internet Environment for Cybersecurity Purposes”, was introduced an innovative approach at the intersection of folklore studies, cybersecurity, artificial intelligence and digital humanities.
The presentation examined the impact of the new communication environment created by digital transformation on social relations, collective patterns of behavior and the formation of group identity. It was mentioned that the modern digital environment was not merely a technological platform for information exchange, but also a complex social ecosystem in which cyber-social communities were formed around shared interests and values.
The presentation further highlighted that, in contemporary digital society, folklore functions not only as a carrier of cultural heritage and collective memory, but also as an important analytical resource for studying social processes, communication dynamics and patterns of collective behavior.
The presentation attracted considerable interest from conference participants and stimulated discussions on emerging multidisciplinary research directions at the intersection of digital humanities, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and socio-anthropological folklore studies.
