On the 14^th of May 2026 the awareness-raising event dedicated to April 28 – World Day for Safety and Health at Work was held at the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS). Speeches were delivered during the event on occupational safety and technical safety regulations. The event was conducted by the Head of the Civil Defense Headquarters of the Institute Elshad Guliyev. The employees of the institute participated in the event.

During his speech Elshad Guliyev mentioned that occupational safety played an important role in ensuring safe and healthy working conditions throughout the work process. He noted that compliance with technical safety regulations was of particular importance in preventing potential risks in the workplace, protecting employees’ health and developing appropriate behavior during emergency situations.

The presentation provided detailed information about potential workplace risks, electrical and fire safety, methods of protection against mechanical hazards, the proper use of personal protective equipment, as well as principles of conduct during emergency situations. It was noted during the event that adherence to safety regulations serves to prevent accidents and contributes to creating a safer working environment.

At the end of the event the exchange of views was held on issues of interest to the participants.
