The employee of the Institute of Folklore spoke at the anniversary event dedicated to the 125th anniversary of Aliyar Karabakhli
On the 1st of May in 2026 the anniversary event titled “The life of a teacher” was held at Khazar University to mark the 125th anniversary of the birth of Aliyar Karabakhli, a prominent educator, literary critic and author of numerous scientific works in the field of literature teaching methodology.
Khuraman Karimova, a leading researcher at the Department Dede Gorgud of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor, spoke at the event and spoke about the main merits of Aliyar Karabakhli’s scientific and pedagogical creativity.
The speaker noted that Azerbaijani folklore occupied a special place in Aliyar Karabakhli’s scientific research. As a teacher, he attached importance to the principle of nationality in education and widely used examples of oral folk literature in the textbooks he compiled.
Later, Khuraman Karimova noted that the methodological materials written for teachers by Aliyar Karabakhli played an important role in the efficient organization of the teaching process and more complete mastery of the material.
The speaker’s speech was met with interest by the participants of the event.
