International cooperation discussed at the Institute of Folklore

A meeting was held at the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences to expand international scientific cooperation. The meeting was attended by Associate Professor Khalil Chetin, Director of the Institute of Turkological Studies operating under the Ahmet Yesevi International Turkish-Kazakh University.

During the meeting, Hikmat Guliyev, Director of the Institute of Folklore, greeted the guest and provided detailed information about the activities of the institute, the directions of scientific research carried out, especially the work carried out in the field of social-anthropological folklore, digital folklore and collective cultural memory. Then exchanged views on current problems of Turkological folklore studies, the creation of joint scientific platforms and opportunities for mutual research were discussed.

In particular, the issues of comparative study of Turkic world folklore, the transformation of folklore in the digital environment and the preparation of joint projects in this field were discussed. Within the framework of the discussions, areas such as the implementation of joint scientific projects, the organization of international conferences and symposiums, as well as the preparation of joint book publications on Turkology and folklore studies came to the fore.

At the end of the meeting Hikmet Guliyev presented a number of books published at the Institute of Folklore to the guest.
