Doctoral student of the Institute of Folklore made a report at the International Symposium
Amil Azimli, a doctoral student at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, participated in the International Symposium “Traces of Culture and Values in the 1st International Turkic World” held at Khazar University on April 29, 2026.
The young researcher made an extensive report on the topic “The Hero Model and Issues of Idealization in the Epic of “Gachag Nabi” at the section meeting of the Symposium. In the report it is mentioned scientifically that the image of the hero was not just an armed fighter, but also an ideal hero model that embodied the ethical and moral values of the people and the principles of social justice. In particular, the typological connection between the motifs of mercy and forgiveness that Gachag Nabi displayed towards his enemies and the classical “Koroglu” tradition attracted the attention of the symposium participants.
It should be noted that at the international symposium, scholars from various countries of the Turkic world exchanged views on culture and common values.
