The article by folklore scholars on the concept of “Azerbaijani Culture – 2040” has been published

The article called “Azerbaijani Culture – 2040: Azerbaijan’s Cultural Strategy in the Context of Global Challenges of the 21st Century” authored by Hikmat Guliyev, Director of the Institute of Folklore, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Associate Professor, Sarkhan Khavari, Head of the Science and Education Department of the Presidium Office of ANAS, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Folklore, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Associate Professor and Safa Garayev, Scientific Secretary of the Presidium of ANAS, Leading Researcher at the Institute of Folklore, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Associate Professor, has been published in the newspaper “Literature”.

In the article the scientific and philosophical analysis of the Concept “Azerbaijani Culture – 2040”, approved by the decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated January 14, 2026 is spoken and offers a comprehensive interpretation of its significance for national cultural development.

The authors mention that the Concept is a comprehensive strategic document aimed not only at the development of cultural infrastructure but also at raising the moral level of society. In this regard, culture is presented not merely as an aesthetic domain but as an important system carrying social, educational, and ideological functions.

In the article it is also noted that the issues such as preserving national culture in the context of globalization and digitalization, promoting the Azerbaijani language and national-spiritual values, strengthening the role of culture as an economic and social factor are presented.

According to the authors, the Concept “Azerbaijani Culture – 2040” serves to shape a modern and sustainable cultural model based on the country’s national identity while responding to global challenges. In conclusion, it is noted that the Concept identifies culture as one of the priority directions of state policy, reaffirming its importance in terms of both national security and sustainable development.
