Scientists from the Institute of Folklore made reports at the International Conference at Baku Slavic University

On the 7th of April in 2026 the International Turkological Research Conference dedicated to the centenary of the First Turkological Congress was held at Baku Slavic University. The scientists and researchers from various countries participated in the event and exchanged views on current problems of Turkological science.

At the conference, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Shabnam Mammadova, senior researcher at the Department of Folklore and Written Literature of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, made a report on the topic “Representatives of the First Turkological Congress in the Researches by the Professor Jalal Gasimov”. 

Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Sevinj Aliyeva also made a report on the theme “Transformation of folklore formulas, images and motifs into medieval Azerbaijani literature (13th-18th centuries) in the context of comparative analysis of the folklore of the Turkic peoples” at the event. 

At the end of the conference it was noted that the conference was of great importance in terms of the development of Turkological research and the expansion of scientific cooperation.
