On the 9^th of April in 2026 the event titled “The Memory of an Epic - the History of a People” was organized at the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan. The event took place in collaboration with the Innovations and Educational Programs Department of the National Museum of History of Azerbaijan and the Department of Humanities of Baku Business University.

At the event, Shakir Albaliyev, a leading researcher at the department “Mythology” of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, made a report on the topic “The Book of Dede Gorgud: Seen in the Light of the Introduction”.

The speaker spoke about the role of the epic in the formation of national and spiritual values, made a comparative analysis of the images of the epic and the parables of the ancestors with modern philological research and mentioned the importance of attention in education. At the end of the event the certificates were presented to the participants.
