During the spring semester of the 2025-2026 academic year the fourth-year students of the faculty Philology at Baku Slavic University and Sumgayit State University have begun their folklore research internship at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS. Speaking at the event held to mark the start of the experiment, the Director of the Institute, Doctor of Sciences in Philology Hikmat Guliyev, mentioned the strategic importance of cooperation between the scientific institution and higher education institutions. He noted that such programs, in addition to strengthening the integration of science and education, also form students’ ability to apply theoretical knowledge in a practical way. According to the director, in order to prepare competitive and professional personnel in the modern era, it is important to involve students in the scientific environment during their studies.

The main goal of the internship is to strengthen the interaction between science and education, reveal the research potential of students and shape them as professionals who respond to modern scientific challenges.

Speaking at the event Vafa Allahverdiyeva, a teacher at Baku Slavic University and Gunay Imamaliyeva, a teacher at Sumgayit State University, expressed their gratitude to the leadership of the Institute for the conditions created for the students’ scientific and research experience.

It should be noted that the students’ research experience will continue until the end of the academic semester.
