The Daha TV prepared an extensive interview dedicated to the life and work of prominent critic and literary scholar Yashar Garayev. The interview was conducted by Agshin Yenisey and the guest speaker was Sarkhan Khaver, a leading researcher at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Sciences in Philology.

During the discussion the phenomenon Yashar Garayev was evaluated not only within the framework of literary criticism, but also as one of the peaks of 20^th  -century common Turkic humanitarian-social thought. It was noted that his scientific-literary and cultural-philosophical views transcended national borders, formed a broad intellectual space and increased their relevance over time.

In the program it was mentioned about the need to convey Garayev’s legacy to the public consciousness. It was noted that his legacy was a model of cognitive independence and moral integrity for the younger generation, in a context where the attention economy was strengthened in the digital information environment and deep thought was replaced by superficial consumption. In the interview the discursive nature of science was also analyzed.

The stages of Garayev’s creativity were also systematized in the program. The line of development, stretching from the analytical-philological beginning to the philosophical-culturological conceptualization, showed that his thinking was formed not on a chronological, but on a conceptual model.
