Leading researcher of the “Mythology” department of the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Associate Professor Shakir Alif oglu Albaliyev was awarded the medal “150^th Anniversary of the Azerbaijani National Press (1875–2025)”.

The medal, established by the Decree of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev dated February 20, 2025, is presented to citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, foreigners and stateless persons who have made special contributions to the development of the media sector, have effectively operated in this field or have distinguished themselves in cooperation with the media. Since 2009, editor-in-chief of the newspaper “Khudaferin” (currently “Ulu Khudaferin”), member of the Azerbaijan Journalists’ Union and the Azerbaijan Writers’ Union, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Associate Professor Shakir Albaliyev is the author of more than 12 monographs, numerous local press articles and foreign articles. He has been awarded the medal “Progress” (2020), “Golden Pen” (2009), “Omar Faig Nemanzade” (2010), “Araz” (2010), “Professional Journalist” (2010) and a number of honorary degrees.
