In 2025 the scientific activity of the Institute of folklore has expanded even more. The employees of the institute published 51 books this year, including 31 monographs and 14 of these works were published abroad. In general, this year 45 scientific articles by the Institute of Folklore employees were published in the country and abroad, and about 260 scientific articles were published.

AZERTAC reports that it was told by the Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Sciences in Philology Hikmat Guliyev at the meeting of the Scientific Council dedicated to the report on scientific and scientific-organizational activities for 2025. The director noted that 5 people had been admitted to the  doctoral program of the institute in the specialty “Folklore Studies”. This year 3 employees of the institute (2 of whom are under 40 years old) were awarded the degree of Doctor of Sciences, 1 was awarded the degree of Doctor of Philosophy and 1 was awarded the title of Associate Professor.

Noting that the position of the Folklore Institute in the field of electronic science had been strengthened, the director said that the scientific metrics of scientific staff increased in 2025. In total, 151 new articles were published in scientometric databases this year and the scientific works of the institute received 3,632 citations and 375 citations in the current year. The scientists from the Institute of Folklore have also prepared and posted 31 new articles for Wikipedia this year.

Hikmet Guliyev noted that this year, a total of 67 students from Baku Slavic University, Sumgayit State University, Baku Eurasian University, Odlar Yurdu University and Khazar University underwent internships at the Institute of Folklore, mentioning that these relations would also have the positive impact on strengthening the human resource potential in the field of scientific activity in the future.
