On the 21^st of November in 2025, Shakir Alif oglu Albaliyev, a leading researcher of the “Mythology” department of the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor, was awarded the degree of Doctor of Sciences in Philological Sciences in the specialty 5719.01 - Folklore Studies by the decision of the Higher Attestation Commission under the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan dated October 31, 2025.

It should be noted that a number of local and foreign works have been published on the doctoral dissertation defended by the scientist on the topic “Ritual-mythological foundations and ethnocultural semantics of Azerbaijani folk holidays”.
