On the 20^th of September in 2025 Atif Islamzade, a leading researcher of the department of “Ceremonial folklore and national culinary tradition” of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology, associate professor, made a speech in the program “Turkish Land” of the channel “Culture” of the state television. In accordance with the content of the program, the scientist spoke about the monograph “Mythological structure of the image of Gazan Khan in the Oghuz epic tradition” published at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, gave an extensive interview on the topic of culture, folklore, mythology, history of Turkic peoples in a comprehensive context. Oghuz epic system is mentioned in the program A.Islamzade gave the scientific-mass audience an important explanation of the structure of the epic, the relations between folklore and history and brought to the attention of the audience the special importance of the lexical-semantic text layers restored by him from the book “Dede Gorgud”. The program also seriously touched upon the ethnic-culturological way of life of Turkic peoples in the context of Oghuzname. The scientist mentioned that the Oghuz epic system was a perfect system and spoke about serious scientific achievements in this direction.
