The materials of the Republican Scientific Conference “Mahammad Fuzuli and Eastern folklore”, organized by the Institute of Folklore of ANAS on the occasion of the 530^th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Mahammad Fuzuli, were published in the form of a book.

The book contains articles of scientists and researchers from various scientific and educational institutions of the Republic, as well as scientists from Urganj State University and Navai State Pedagogical Institute of Uzbekistan, covering the study of folklore sources and national-moral values in the rich artistic creativity of Muhammad Fuzuli.

In the articles Mahammad Fuzuli’s activity, which occupies an exceptional place in the development of Azerbaijani literary and artistic thought, made a contribution to the literature of the countries of the Near and Middle East, to the world literature as a whole, created excellent examples of our native-language poetry and enriched the Azerbaijani artistic language, has been comparatively analyzed with Eastern culture, Turkic system of national-cultural values and folklore.

The scientific editor of the 472-page book published in “Science and education” publishing house is academician Mukhtar Kazimoglu-Imanov and the compilers are Doctor of Sciences in Philology, associate professor Leyla Mammadova and PhD, associate professor Gulnar Osmanova.
