Employees of the Institute of Folklore made a report at the International Congress
On the 12th – 16th May 2025 the International Rumeli Congress of Social Sciences was held in Skopje. The Congress, initiated by Istanbul Rumeli University and hosted by the International Balkan University in North Macedonia, brought together scientists and researchers working in the field of Social Sciences with the support of various international partner universities. Reports on various fields of Social Sciences were presented at the scientific event held in hybrid format. The reports such as “Birth rituals in Azerbaijani and Macedonian folklore: traditional methods and social meanings” by the leading researcher of the department Mythology of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology, associate professor Maleyka Mammadova and “Novruz Bayram: traditional practices and beliefs in Azerbaijani and Macedonian folklore” by the leading researcher of the same department PhD in Philology Sevinj Gasimova were made at the congress.
