The fourth year students of the Faculty of Philology of Baku Eurasian University began their folklore research practice at the Institute of Folklore within the spring semester of the 2024-2025 academic year. The practice is carried out in order to apply the theoretical knowledge gained by students in the educational process in the context of modern scientific approaches, to form research abilities in them.

Director of the Institute of Folklore, Associate Professor Hikmat Guliyev greeted the students and gave detailed information about the research work carried out in the scientific institution, important achievements, periodicals, spoke about scientific monographs published in recent times and books consisting of newly collected folklore examples.

Then the head of the department of Folklore of Southern Azerbaijan, Doctor of Philological Sciences, Associate Professor Matanat Abbasova said that, the students would increase their scientific and practical knowledge through an internship in the department within a month. During the meeting the topics of interest to students, including collecting folklore and researching it on the basis of academic principles were discussed.
