In the framework of the project “Let’s protect our values” of the Education Department of Baku City at the library of Secondary School № 7 named after M.Rahim the discussion dedicated to the national and moral values in the epic “The Book of Dede Gorgud” was organized. The event was attended by senior researcher of the department of Folklore of Turkic peoples of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology Gumru Shahriyar.

During the discussion, the themes of heroism, commitment to the native land, family values and national identity in the epic were discussed. The meeting, which aroused the interest of the students, allowed them to get to know our cultural heritage more deeply.
