In 2025 it will be 80 years since the establishment of the highest scientific organization of the country - the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.

Since its establishment, the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan has gone through a path full of achievements and gained fame as a center that turned the scientific and intellectual potential of the republic into a national treasure.

The fruitful activity of the Academy over the past period has been based on the principles of studying priority scientific problems in accordance with the dictates of the times, training highly qualified personnel in various fields of science, forming scientific schools and expanding mutual relations with reputable international scientific institutions.

Even today, the Academy is actively involved in the successful implementation of state policy in the field of science, social and humanitarian research contributes to the cause of introducing society to new knowledge and raising its scientific and cultural level.

Guided by paragraph 32 of Article 109 of the Constitution of the Republic of Azerbaijan, taking into account the role of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan in the development of science in the country, the organization of activities in this field and the training of highly qualified personnel, I decree:

1. The National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan together with the Ministry of Science and Education of the Republic of Azerbaijan to prepare and implement a plan of events dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan.
2. The Cabinet of Ministers of the Republic of Azerbaijan will resolve the issues arising from this Order.
