Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Associate Professor Hikmat Guliyev: “The preparation of multilingual and multi-volume folklore collection of Turkic peoples is of great importance in terms of research and promotion of common Turkic cultural values”
Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Associate Professor Hikmat Guliyev noted the mentioned thoughts at the opening meeting of the International Advisory Committee on the preparation of multilingual and multi-volume folklore collection of Turkic peoples organized by the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation.
The responsible persons from Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Hungary, folklorists and art critics scientists and specialists attended the event led by the President of the Turkic Culture and Heritage Foundation, Doctor of Art Sciences Aktoti Raimkulova.
The conceptual basis of the project on the preparation of multilingual and multi-volume folklore collection of Turkic peoples, the strategic roadmap were discussed at the event and the approaches to the structure, content and presentation form of the collections to be prepared were listened at.
Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Associate Professor Hikmat Guliyev mentioned that deepening cultural and spiritual ties with Turkic states was a state policy in Azerbaijan. He mentioned that important work was being carried out in this direction at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, as well as at the Institute of Folklore. The scientist noted that the preparation of multilingual and multi-volume folklore collection of Turkic peoples was of great importance in terms of identification, actualization and promotion of common Turkic cultural values.
At the same time, responsible persons, scientists and specialists from Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Turkey and Hungary spoke at the event and shared their thoughts on the preparation of multilingual and multi-volume folklore collection of Turkic peoples.
At the end, the Head of the Turkic culture and Heritage Foundation Aktoti Raimkulova noted the necessity of holding the next meetings of the International Advisory Committee on the creation of multilingual and multi-volume folklore collection of Turkic peoples and mentioned that additional proposals on folklore collections to be prepared would be sent to the Fund in writing.
