Scientific-practical seminar on the “Our national and spiritual values in West Azerbaijan resources” was held at the International Mugham Center with the support of the Scientific-Methodical and Professional Development Center on Culture of the Ministry of Culture of Azerbaijan and the West Azerbaijan community.

The main goal of the event was to deliver national values such as folklore, music and performing arts of Western Azerbaijan, as well as culinary traditions and other elements of cultural heritage to the younger generation.

Within the framework of the seminar the experts gave lectures on this topic and presented their research works. At the seminar the leading researcher of the department of Turkic peoples folklore of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology, associate professor Laman Suleymanova made a report on the theme “West Azerbaijan folklore as a branch of our culture”. Ashiq music, compositions of composers, folk songs, as well as folklore samples were performed by the “Iravan” ensemble at the event accompanied by the musical program.
