Leading researcher of the department Mythology of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD. in Philology, associate professor Maleyka Mammadova participated in the scientific seminar organized by the classical Divan Young Scientists Society, created in 2021 for academic and intellectual discussions in the field of literature and poetry. This society, which organizes literary discussions, lessons and seminars inspired by the works of classical and modern poets such as Yunus Emre and Mehmet Akif Ersoy, also aims to make scientific contributions to the academic environment, especially to master’s and doctoral students by publishing the scientific journal called “Classical Divan – Language, Culture and Literature Research Journal”.

Maleyka Mammadova made a presentation on the theme “Bad evil eye in cultural memory: rituals in Azerbaijani and Anatolian folklore” at the seminar. Teachers, masters and doctoral students from the various universities and research centers of the Republic of Turkey showed great interest in the event held in online formation.

At the end, the questions of the participants were answered and the topic was discussed from different aspects.
