On February 07-09, 2025, the II International Congress of culture, art and literature was held in Izmir, Turkey. At the congress, employees of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS such as the leading researcher of the department Dede Gorgud, PhD in Philology Khalida Mammadova made reports on the theme “Azerbaijani folklore and the similarity of some proverbs found in the work “Kalila and Dimna”, the senior researcher of the same department, PhD in Philology Nizami Adishirinov on the theme “The ritual code of the “Ali kişi” branch in the epic “Koroglu”, the leading researchers of the Department of Mythology, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Maleyka Mammadova on the theme “Rituals performed to protect against the influence of the eye in the Western Azerbaijani folklore” and PhD in Philology Sevinj Gasimova on the theme “Performance traditions of Novruz holiday in Azerbaijan”.
