During several years the Folklore Studio of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS has been recording folk epics from the series “Epics Should Not Be Forgotten” performed by young ashiqs, as well as master ashiqs.

On the 3^rd of February “Najaf and Parizad” was recorded in the Folklore Studio performed by Ashiq Ali Zeynalabdinov. He was accompanied by Honored Worker of Culture Alakbar Alakbarov in the instrument “balaban”.

It should be noted that Ashiq Ali Zeynalabdinov is a representative of the Kalbajar ashiq community. The compiler of the epics is the leading researcher of the Mythology Department of the Folklore Institute, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Ilhama Gasabova, and the director of the filming is Mahir Ordubadi, head of the Folklore Studio.
