Our employees made reports at the International Scientific Symposium on the theme “Green world – our world”

On the 5th – 6th December in 2024 Gazakh District Executive Power, Gazakh branch of Baku State University, Erzinjan Binali Yildirim University, Khoja Ahmed Yesavi International Turkic-Kazakh University jointly organized an international scientific symposium on “Green world-our world” dedicated to the “Year of Solidarity for the sake of the Green World”.

Employees of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS also participated in the symposium.

The participants of the event first came to the park named after national leader Heydar Aliyev in the district, visited the monument to the genius person, laid flowers at the monument and honored his memory. They visited the center named after the Great Leader and got acquainted with the stands reflecting the life and activities of the Great Leader.

The National Anthem of Azerbaijan was played at the event, which continued in the Assembly Hall of the Museum of literature. A video dedicated to the “Year of solidarity for the green world” was demonstrated.

Moderator of the event, leading researcher of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD., associate professor Ilhama Gasabova spoke about the importance of the scientific symposium. She mentioned that 180 articles were submitted to the symposium, as well as the event continued its work both online and face-to-face in sections.

Head of Gazakh District Executive Authority Rajab Babashov made a speech and wished the participants success. He brought to the attention that a total of 23,400 trees were planted with the organization of the executive power.

Then the reports of the plenary session were heard. The report of the senior researcher of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, associate professor Galib Sayilov on the theme “Overview of the environment in the ethno-cultural system of Azerbaijan” was met with interest.

The international scientific symposium continued its work with section meetings. The reports such as “Human-nature relations in Azerbaijani folklore” by PhD, associate professor Elchin Galiboglu, “Cult of nature in heroic epics” by PhD, associate professor Fidan Gasimova, “Notes about the semantics of the color green in Azerbaijani and English folklore” by PhD, associate professor Vafa Ibrahim, “Our ancient musical instruments: wood cult and mythological elements” by PhD, associate professor Ilhama Gasabova, “Water cult reflection in Karabakh folklore” by PhD Vusala Nasibova, “Formulas of nature in Azerbaijani fairy tales” by PhD Shahla Huseynli, “The motif of nature in the work of the Arab poet Abu Tamman” by PhD Surayya Alizada and “The image of nature in folk art: an environmental problem” by Aydin Mustafayev were made.
