Employees of the Institute of Folklore actively participated in the 3rd International Turkological Congress
On the 2nd – 4th of December the 3rd International Turkological Congress on the theme “National Identity and Cultural Heritage in the Turkic World” was held at the ANAS Presidium building, jointly organized by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, the Turkish Cooperation and Coordination Agency (TIKA), the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), the Institute of Turkology of Chankiri Karatekin University and the Kokand State Pedagogical Institute named after Mukimi, on the occasion of the declaration of Shusha as the “Cultural Capital of the Islamic World” for 2024.
The plenary session of the Congress was held in the building of the Presidium of ANAS and the section meetings were held in the Central Scientific Library of ANAS. In 18 sessions, nearly 100 reports were heard and scientific discussions were held, including the examination of various topics in areas such as literature, folklore, history, art, political science, social policy and migration, sociology, ecology, international relations and so on.
Employees of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS also actively participated in the III International Turkological Congress. It should be noted that more than 20 scientists and researchers from the institute made presentations, a group of employees were actively involved in organizational work. At the closing ceremony of the event the young researchers and speakers who actively participated in the congress were awarded with certificates of appreciation.
