On the 14^th-15^th of November the international scientific-theoretical conference dedicated to the 200^th anniversary of the birth of Hajiniyaz Kosibay oglu, a prominent representative of the 19^th century Garagalpag literature, was held by UNESCO in Nukus, the capital of the Republic of Garagalpagystan, located in the north-west of Uzbekistan. Numerous reports on the literary heritage of the famous poet were heard at the conference organized by the Garagalpag Department of the Academy of Sciences of Uzbekistan Garagalpag Research Institute of Humanitarian Sciences.

The senior researcher of the department of Folklore and written literature of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology, associate professor Shabnam Mammadova also attended the conference. She made a report on the theme “The boundlessness of Hajiniyaz’s national-poetic thinking” and was awarded a certificate of the conference.
