Employees of the Institute of Folklore made a report at the International Symposium
On October 24-26, 2024, the 8th International Symposium of Social Sciences of the World of Turks was held, hosted by Atyrau State University of Kazakhstan. Reports of 170 scientists from different countries of the Turkic world were heard at the International Symposium organized in hybrid format.
It should be noted that the symposium has been held since 2017 with the cooperation of various universities in Antalya, Skopje, Baku and Prague. Employees of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS also attended this year’s symposium. The reports such as “Khoyrat songs” by PhD, associate professor Laman Suleymanova, “Language and style features in the poems by Bakhtiyar Vahabzade” by PhD, associate professor Aynura Safarova, “Characteristics of paremiological units collected from Goychay” by PhD Khuraman Karimova, “Forgotten Novruz traditions” by PhD Sevinj Gasimova, “Rituals performed before birth in folk culture from Azerbaijan and Anatolia to Iraqi-Turkman folklore” by PhD, associate professor Malayka Mammadova were made.
