The students of the faculty of Philology (Azerbaijani language and literature) of Khazar University began their folklore research practice at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS in the autumn semester of the 2024-2025 academic year.

The practice is carried out in order to apply the theoretical knowledge gained by students in the educational process in the context of modern scientific approaches, to form research abilities in them.

Scientific secretary of the Presidium of ANAS PhD, associate professor Hikmet Guliyev presented the students to the Acting Director of the Institute of folklore of ANAS, PhD, associate professor Afag Ramazanova. At the meeting, information was given about the scientific-research works carried out at the Institute of Folklore, important achievements, periodicals, scientific monographs published in recent times and books consisting of newly collected folklore examples. During the meeting the topics of interest to students, including collecting folklore and researching it on the basis of academic principles were discussed.

It should be noted that the research experience of the students will be completed at the end of December.
