The monograph “Musical instruments of gopuz origin” has been published

The monograph named “Instrumental instruments of gopuz origin” was published with the co-authorship of the leading researcher of the department of Mythology of the Institute of Folklore ANAS, PhD., associate professor Ilhama Gasabova and Professor of Azerbaijan State Pedagogical University Mahmud Allahmanli.  

The monograph covers the rich cultural history of the Turkic peoples with the instruments such as gopuz, tambur, oghur, saz, etc. and clarify on its example. This mysteriousness, tied to an invisible artistic tradition, is an indicator of the ethnographic perfection of society, characterized by the desire and aim to make an invaluable contribution to human civilization as a reflection of the historical landscape, way of life, spiritual richness. All this was formed from the desire to present to the general public in detail the view of the art of ozan-ashug, which is a culture without partners, from the early ages to the present day. The typological analyzes carried out are linked to the aim of reflecting them.

Published in the publishing house “Zardabi” the book is prepared for publication in Turkish, Persian and English.

The author of the idea and financial supporter of the book is Ali Polat, the scientific editors are Professor Jabbar Ishankul, Professor Feyzan Goher Balchin and Professor Shakir Ibrayev.
