During the 2th-8th of October in 2024 the 10th Baku International Book Fair was held at the Baku Expo Center under the organization of the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Azerbaijan. This year’s anniversary exhibition is dedicated to the 530th anniversary of the great Azerbaijani poet and thinker Muhammad Fuzuli. The exhibition was attended by 4 foreign organizations from 18 countries representing 56 continents, 110 local publishing-printing and book-art enterprises.

Along with Azerbaijan, the exhibition was attended by well-known writers and poets, scientists, young writers from Turkey, Italy, China, Russia, the Republic of Korea, Hungary, Kazakhstan, Qatar, Uzbekistan, Oman, Argentina, Morocco, Venezuela, Georgia, Mexico, Colombia, Chile and Mongolia.

Within the framework of the International Book Fair the master classes for children and adults, book presentations on inclusiveness and other topical topics, signature days, conferences, symposia, competitions, events in the format of reading and music hours were organized.

It should be noted that the publications of the Institute of Folklore were also included in the special zone allocated for the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences – stand Number P1-413 anthologies, monographs, collections of scientific research published by the Institute of Folklore were exhibited at the stand.

The staff of the Institute of Folklore visited X Baku International Book Fair and got acquainted with various stands displayed at the exhibition.
