The memorial event named “Martyrs are not forgotten” was held at the Institute of Folklore
On the 27th of September in 2024 the event called “Martyrs are not forgotten” was held at the Institute of Folklore of ANAS in connection with the Memorial Day. At the event organized by the Council of young scientists and specialists of the institute, the National Anthem was played first and the memory of our martyrs who gave their lives for the territorial integrity of our Motherland was commemorated with a minute of silence.
Speaking at the event chairman of the Council of Young Scientists and Specialists of the Institute of Folklore, PhD. Kh.Mirzayeva said that 4 years had passed since the beginning of the Patriotic War, which ended with our historic victory today. She spoke about the importance of the 44-day war, the glorious victory achieved at the end of this war, spoke about the courage shown by our soldiers and officers, the demonstration of perseverance and will, unity and solidarity of our people.
Then the speeches by Elmiyya Abdullayeva and Gunay Orujzade were also listened. In the speeches it was mentioned that the day of Remembrance is both sad and proud, the memory of the brave sons of the Motherland, who rose to the top of martyrdom for the freedom of our lands, would always live in the hearts of our people.
Then the Scientific Secretary of the Institute, PhD in Philology, associate professor Elchin Abbasov spoke about the unity demonstrated by our people during the Patriotic War, our glorious history. He said that the memory of our martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the territorial integrity of our country and the restoration of historical justice will always be honored.
