The monographic book “Versions and variants of the epic about Edigeus” was published
The monographic book “Versions and variants of the epic of Edigeus” by Gumru Shahriyar, PhD in Philology, senior researcher of the department of Folklore of Turkic peoples of ANAS Institute of Folklore, has been published.
The monographic study of the epic of the same name dedicated to Edigeus, who has a special place as a historical figure among Central Asian Turks, is new for the Azerbaijani reader. More than eighty versions of the epic have been recorded among the Turkic peoples and bibliographic information about each of them is given in this monographic book. In the monographic book more than sixty versions and variants of the epic are discussed. The monographic book was published in the “Sabah” publishing house. The scientific editor of the book is Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Afzaleddin Asgar and the reviewers are Doctor of Philological Sciences, Professor Almaz Hasangizı and Doctor of Philosophy in Philology, Associate Professor Sakina Gaybaliyeva.
