The scientific council of the Institute of Folklore heard the report on the scientific-research and scientific-organizational activities for the first half of 2024
On the 27th of June in 2024 the next meeting of the Scientific Council of Institute of Folklore of ANAS was held. Arzu Mammadkhanli, scientific secretary of the Department of Humanities of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, doctor of philosophy in philology, also participated in the meeting. Deputy director of the Institute, PhD, associate professor Afag Ramazanova said that the main issue on the agenda is the report on the scientific-research and scientific-organizational activities of the Institute of Folklore for the first half of 2024. Then she mentioned that in 2024, the Institute of Folklore of ANAS operated in several directions, collecting, publishing and researching intangible cultural heritage, as well as achieved success in the fields of scientific organization, expansion of international relations and so on.
Then A.Ramazanova brought to the attention of the participants of the meeting the report on the research and scientific-organizational activities of the scientific institution for the first half of 2024. The report covered issues related to the implementation of decrees and orders of the president of the Republic of Azerbaijan, decisions of the Cabinet of Ministers and state programs, research plans, foreign relations, scientific events, participation in international events held abroad, implementation of relevant decisions and orders of ANAS, the state of electron-science, staff training, social activities, publications, awards and prizes.
It was noted that “In connection with the Order of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan on measures to declare the city of Shusha the “Cultural capital of the Islamic world” for 2024, PhD, associate professor Afag Ramazanova’s second book from the series “Shusha seen from the folklore” has been prepared for publication.
In the first half of the current year the Institute organized 1 International Conference, 1 Republican scientific conference, 1 scientific seminar, 1 Round Table, 4 commemorative events, 5 presentation ceremonies.
Employees of the Institute of Folklore made presentations at international scientific conferences and symposiums held in Turkey, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Russia, Moldova, Switzerland and other countries.
In the first half of 2024 the research was carried out in the scientific institution on the basis of 4 problems, 9 topics, 68 works in the direction of “Sources, formation, patterns of development and relations of Azerbaijani folklore”. It was noted that 53 works will be completed in the current year.
One employee of the institute was awarded the degree of Doctor of Sciences and two people were awarded the title of associate professor.
Then the scientific secretary of the Department of Humanitarian Sciences of ANAS, PhD Arzu Mammadkhanli highly appreciated the report of the Institute of Folklore on scientific-research and scientific-organizational activities for the first half of 2024.
The report of the Institute on scientific research and scientific-organizational activities for the first half of 2024 was recognized as satisfactory and adopted unanimously.
