These remarks were made by Hikmat Guliyev, Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS during the certificate presentation ceremony for fourth-year students of Baku Slavic University, Baku Eurasian University and Sumgayit State University.

It was noted during the event that throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, students from the mentioned higher education institutions participated in research internships at the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences (ANAS), enriching their theoretical knowledge in the field of folklore studies through practical research activities.

In his speech, Hikmat Guliyev mentioned that internship programs played a significant role in increasing students’ interest in scientific research, developing their research skills and helping them determine their future academic directions.

Leyla Mammadova, Head of the Department of Folklore and Written Literature, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, Associate Professor, mentioned that the students demonstrated a high level of engagement during the internship period, showed keen interest in academic research and fulfilled their assigned tasks responsibly.

Other speakers included PhD, Associate Professor Vusala Nasibova, PhD, Associate Professor Elnara Amirli, Lala Shabanova, as well as PhD Gunay Imamaliyeva, lecturer at Sumgayit State University, PhD Vafa Allahverdiyeva, lecturer at Baku Slavic University and PhD Gunel Shikhaliyeva, lecturer at Baku Eurasian University also took part at the meeting. They highlighted the importance of the internship program and noted that involving students in research activities played a crucial role in their professional and academic development.

At the end of the event, Hikmat Guliyev, Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS and Doctor of Philology, presented certificates to the students and wished them success in their future studies and researches.
