Reflecting on the importance of the scientific seminar, Hikmat Guliyev noted that a systematic discussion of the scientific, theoretical and practical aspects of Turkological folklore studies was important in terms of determining the conceptual foundations of this direction. The main report of the seminar was made by Professor Bayram Durbilmez. Commenting on the main theoretical frameworks of Turkological folklore studies and their development in the modern era, the scientist noted that folklore had not remained the cultural heritage of just one people, but had instead become a global phenomenon that created a common language and experience among different cultures.
Professor Bayram Durbilmez mentioned the importance of new approaches in the study of folklore and the need to apply new analytical methods alongside traditional methods. He noted that folklore should be analyzed not only based on the text, but also in a broad study that reveals the dynamic layers of culture, along with the traditional and social context.
Later, a broad exchange of views on the topic was held at the scientific seminar by the scientists such as Professor Fuzuli Bayat, Ali Shamil, Doctor of Sciences in Philology Safa Garayev, Professor Almaz Huseynova, PhD Elnara Amirli, PhD Ilhama Gasabova and PhD Gumru Shahriyar.
