The materials of the international scientific conference “Iraqi-Turkman folklore and literature” organized by the Institute of Folklore of ANAS on the occasion of the 100^th anniversary of the prominent Iraqi-Turkman researcher Ata Tarzibashi were published in the form of a book.

The book contains articles by the scientists and researchers from various scientific and educational institutions of the Republic, as well as from Iraq and Turkey, devoted to the analysis of the extensive scientific research of Ata Tarzibashi, also the coverage of individual problems of Iraqi-Turkman folklore and literature.

In the articles the activity of Ata Terzibashi, who held an exceptional place in the development of Iraqi-Turkmen scientific and literary thought and made valuable contributions to Turkmen folklore, literature, press and culture with his research have been analyzed carefully, as well as different topics related to Iraqi-Turkmen and Azerbaijani folklore and literature are involved in research from a scientific and theoretical perspective.

The scientific editor of the book is PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Afag Ramazanova and the compilers are PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Sakina Qaybaliyeva and PhD in Philology Elnara Huseyngizi-Amirli.
