Professor of Binghamton University of USA highly appreciated the Azerbaijani folklorist’s research
Under the leadership of the President of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, continuous measures are being taken to expand innovative multidisciplinary research at ANAS. These reforms set as the goal the training of highly qualified personnel and the formation of new scientific directions in line with the leading scientific priorities of the world. The work done in this direction and the achievements are attracting the attention of representatives of advanced scientific schools.
Leading researcher of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Sciences in Philology Safa Garayev presented the abstract in English on the topic “Psychoanalytic semantics of metaphorical thinking in folklore” to Professor of Binghamton University, well-known folklorist Elizabeth Tucker. After reading the presented scientific summary, Professor E. Tucker sent a letter with a feeling of deep satisfaction and high appreciation.
It should be noted that Elizabeth Tucker is currently one of the well-known scientists in the field of Folklore Studies in the United States. She is the professor at State University of New York at Binghamton. The scientist is the author of the serious scientific works such as children’s folklore, urban legends, folk belief systems and virtual folklore.
