Multidisciplinary researches carried out at ANAS are in the center of attention of the world scientists
Famous US folklorist scholar, professor Simon J.Bronner shared on his Facebook page “American Folklore Society – history and folklore section” about the scientific activity of the director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, Doctor of Sciences in Philology, associate professor Hikmet Guliyev and scientific secretary of the Presidium of ANAS Doctor of Sciences in Philology, associate professor Safa Garayev, highly appreciated the creativity of young scientists of Azerbaijan and demonstrated his support to them.
In recent years, in accordance with the state policy and large-scale measures implemented in our country towards the development of digital transformation and artificial intelligence technologies, important work has been carried out at the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences under the leadership of its president, Academician Isa Habibbeyli and special attention is paid to aligning the priorities of the humanities and social sciences with the national interests of the state.
American professor Simon J.Bronner shared his thoughts in his Facebook social network about the book “Folklore in a Virtual environment: tradition and communication”, which reflects Hikmat Guliyev’s scientific activity, part of his research on Internet folklore and highly appreciated the research results. He noted that, the monograph was devoted to the specifics of folklore creativity problems existing in the Internet environment, changes carried out by folklore in the context of the development of information and communication technologies. He mentioned that the analysis of the features of the new tradition and communicative relations formed in the virtual environment was also kept in the focus of attention in the work.
At the same time, Simon J.Bronner congratulated Safa Garayev on receiving the title of Doctor of Sciences in Philology on the social network, highly appreciated his research in the direction of psychoanalytic semantics of metaphorical thinking in folklore, as well as important scientific achievements.
It should be noted that both scientists – both Hikmat Guliyev and Safa Garayev regularly discussed with Simon J.Bronner on the social network about Azerbaijani folklore, culture, new research in this field and important scientific achievements, referred to his scientific works.
