The employee of the Institute of Folklore became the winner of the TUBITAK-ANAS joint project competition
The first joint project competition within the framework of the cooperation protocol signed with the scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey (TUBITAK) in February 2024, at the stage of reforms and renewal of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan, was announced on August 6, 2024.
The competition created great opportunities for scientific institutions of ANAS, together with colleagues from universities and Research Institutes of Turkey, to develop joint scientific projects on the issues of urbanization, urban and regional planning (sustainable cities), intercultural interaction, language unity, Seismology, digital transformation, circular economy and development.
The scientists of ANAS scientific institutions, regional departments and centers, Central Scientific Library and Presidium administration together with specialists from more than 10 scientific and educational institutions of Turkey submitted 20 joint projects to the competition.
Fifteen projects successfully passed technical expertise carried out by ANAS and TUBITAK were sent for scientific examination. Each project was evaluated by both ANAS and TUBITAK by 2 independent reviewers and 4 independent experts in total. Based on the results of the examination, 4 projects were adopted from both sides.
The working group from Azerbaijan in the joint scientific research project are PhD., associate professor Aynur Ibrahimova from the Institute of Folklore of ANAS and associate professor Irada Mammadova from the Institute of History and Ethnology.
