II Turkic World Cultural Forum held in the ancient city of Khiva ended
II Turkic World Cultural Forum held under the auspices of UNESCO and ICESCO has ended in the ancient city of Khiva. The event was attended by representatives from 40 countries around the world, including a delegation led by the Minister of Culture of Azerbaijan, Adil Karimli, a group of scientists led by Hikmat Guliyev, Director of the Institute of Folklore of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, as well as Sahib Pashazade, Honored Artist, Director of the Mugham Center.
At the scientific conference “Bakhshi art in New Uzbekistan: Modern studies and perspectives” held within the framework of the Forum, Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS Hikmat Guliyev mentioning the first Turkic World Culture Forum held in Shusha “Cultural capital of the Turkic world” in 2023 noted that in recent years, scientific and cultural relations among Turkic states had been rapidly expanding. The activity, carried out with the support of the organization of Turkic states, was of great importance in the advancement of peoples from their values based on the common past to their goals directed towards the common future.
PhD, associate professor Aynur Ibrahimova in her report called “The problem of the genesis of the epic “Koroglu” in Azerbaijani epic studies” noted that after Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan gained independence, the increase in interest in spiritual monuments and the rise of the attitude towards intangible heritage to a new level had led to an increase in scientific attention to the national epic, which preserved a large arsenal of spiritual values.
PhD, associate professor Ilhama Gasabova made a report on the theme “Functional-mystical semantics of the instrument “saz” in Azerbaijani love epics”.
The document on cooperation was signed between the Institute of Folklore of ANAS and the Yunus Rajabi Uzbek National Institute of Musical Art in Tashkent.
At the end of the forum the gifts were presented mutually.
