Director of the Institute of Folklore of ANAS, PhD in Philology, Associate Professor Hikmat Guliyev met with General Secretary of the Turkish History and Culture Foundation Assel Lakhayeva.

During the meeting Assel Lakhayeva spoke about the project “Baku Turkological Congress in the 100^th year” presented to the Main Directorate of copyright of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Turkey, as well as international projects implemented by the foundation, book publications and presentations.

At the meeting Director of the Institute of Folklore, Associate Professor Hikmat Guliyev informed about the researches carried out at the Institute in the direction of studying the folklore of Azerbaijan, as well as the Turkic peoples and shared his views on integration into TURKTAV’s digital platforms for the purpose of wider dissemination of collection and research works.

At the meeting the scientific and public events under the slogan “One Nation, Two States” were also discussed. The issues of preserving the cultural memory and rich heritage of the Turkic peoples living in a very large geography for many centuries and the activities to be conveyed to future generations in this regard were discussed and exchanged views.

At the end the mutual book gifts were presented and memorial photos were taken.
